Last week I travelled on the #477 after having had the great news that the 6 month trial of the 477 travelling to Bluewater and Darent Valley Hospital has been extended until the end of May.
Additional buses have also been added during the February half-term and Easter, which will be a huge benefit to families wanting to get out and about.
The route was very popular in the run up to Christmas, which is of course encouraging. However, I urge residents of Crockenhill, Swanley, Hextable and Wilmington between now and March to use the bus as much as possible – especially to the hospital and Bluewater.
The decision whether to extend the route permanently beyond May will be taken during March and we need this one last push to try to secure the service permanently.
