My Plan

I am proud of my track record of delivering for local residents, and together, we have achieved so much.

We now have the Boys’ Grammar in Sevenoaks, a fast-line train service to London Bridge and Charing Cross through Otford and Swanley, a multi-million pound rebuild of Orchards Academy, more uniformed police officers on the beat, £2.5m additional funding for more beds at Darent Valley Hospital, supported laws which make it quicker to remove unlawful traveller encampments, and secured a new Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) school to be built in Swanley.

I hope that with your support on 4th July I can continue to work both with and for you, to make the area in which we are lucky enough to live in, even better.

1. IMPROVE OUR LOCAL TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE:

  • Secure further train service improvements for local commuters.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the Lower Thames Crossing.
  • Campaign to reverse the misguided extensions of the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) introduced by the Labour London Mayor.

2. PROTECT OUR GREEN BELT

  • Send a clear message to developers that speculative planning applications for Green Belt land, without community support, will be rejected.
  • Ensure locally agreed housing targets, which take into account Green Belt land and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are sued instead of the national targets proposed by Labour and Liberal Democrats.

3. SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES

  • Continue to campaign for a banking hub in Swanley and protect access to cash across the constituency.
  • Support and cultivate local investment in our high street town centres.

4. CUT LOCAL CRIME

  • Tackle local incidents of antisocial behaviour, so that everyone can feel safe in our community.
  • Work with Kent Police to see more visible police officers on our streets
  • Support shop owners in their quest to tackle shoplifting.

5. STAND UP FOR FAMILIES AND YOUNG PEOPLE:

  • Protect local grammar schools, which the Liberal Democrats and Labour oppose, and ensure enough protected placed are assigned for Kent pupil who pass their 11+.
  • Explore the options for more 20mph roads outside our local schools
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of the new SEND school in Swanley.

6. CHAMPION LOCAL HEALTHCARE:

  • Secure funding for local NHS services to increase the number of local nurses and GPs, and improve access for children’s services.
  • Continue to protect the Urgent Treatment Centre in Sevenoaks Town, so residents can continue to access local support.
