Over the last few weeks I have been in close communication with the local GPs and the Kent and Medway CCG to understand the pressures being felt at a local level.
Today, as a member of the Health and Social Care committee, I had the opportunity to ask Professor Martin Marshall from the Royal College of General Practitioners about the virtual consultations being carried out with patients as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in particular what resources and training are necessary for these to continue on an ongoing basis.
