Charities and social enterprises are an essential part of our local community in Sevenoaks and Swanley, and I hear stories daily of how they are continuing to make a huge difference to so many lives.
Sadly, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, many are facing significant challenges, and that is why the Government has today opened the Coronavirus Community Support Fund which aims to:
- increase community support to vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 crisis, through the work of civil society organisations.
- reduce temporary closures of essential charities and social enterprises in order to ensure services for vulnerable people impacted by Covid-19 have the financial resources to operate
