It has been great to today return to the chamber after summer recess.
Following the fantastic work of the Invicta Academy, which has offered a lifeline to pupils across Sevenoaks and Swanley, this afternoon I asked the Secretary of State of Education to outline the steps his Department are taking to ensure all pupils can catch up on the education which has been lost– especially the most deprived and disadvantaged, who we know have been hardest hit by the closure of schools.
