Last month I met with the brilliant JD O’Brien at West Heath School in Sevenoaks to formally commemorate the “Beelieve” project, which aims to turn unused grassy spaces into a paradise for pollinators by providing food source and habitat for them.
JD was supported in this project (following on from an earlier successful project at the Milestone Academy in New Ash Green) by Cllr Roddy Hogarth and his public realm commission.
I also enjoyed the opportunity to meet the Head of West Heath, Photini Bohacek along with a number of staff and pupils, who have been awarded four consecutive Outstanding gradings from Ofsted for the fantastic work they do.
A great school and a great project, emphasising the importance of working together for the natural world.
