Following the welcome news last week of the restoration of the #TW4 and #T3 school bus services, I am delighted to inform parents and pupils that following our campaign the #TW1 from #Kemsing via #Seal has also now been reinstated.
Since go-coach hire gave up this route, Kent County Council have been working hard to find a new operator. This service will now be taken over by 1st Bus Stop and will follow the same timetable and route as the previous #TW1. 1st Bus Stop will also provide a “sweeper” bus, which will run from #Sevenoaks Bus Station to #Tunbridge Wells if required. If that isn’t needed, it will be used as cover elsewhere in the area.
I am very grateful to the officers in the Transport Department at Kent County Council for their hard work in recent weeks to find solutions, as well as Transport Cabinet member David Brazier and KCC leader (and local councillor) Roger Gough for tasking their officers to find replacement services to enable children to travel to school.
