The last 12 months have been incredibly hard for businesses, especially those in the hospitality sector. However it is truly heart-warming to read of the many success stories which have also emerged.
Last week I, alongside Kent County Council candidate Perry Cole, visited the kitchen of Ron Nulud from The Noypi Chef in Swanley.
Ron was previously a noodle chef in London, however sadly was made redundant due to the pandemic. To make ends meet temporarily, he began making food for local people from his home – however quickly outgrew the facilities and was offered a site at the Olympic Kitchen so he could respond to demand. What was supposed to be a temporary endeavour has proved to be a huge success and it was great to hear from Ron himself regarding his future plans to stay.
Ron very kindly took the time to show me how he makes one of this special dishes, and the result was delicious. I wish Ron and his team the very best of luck, and urge all local residents to try out his food for themselves.
