Not content with causing extra cost to hard-pressed families by extending the ULEZ boundary, Labour London Mayor Sadiq Khan is now looking to pile on costs with the scrapping of the one-day travelcard.
As many of you will know, the travelcard allows unlimited travel around the capital on public transport. And, for many years it has proven to be vital for so many across Sevenoaks and Swanley as it allows us to buy our train and tube travel together.
However, if it is scrapped residents could face paying up to 33% more for each trip to London from our local stations.
This is unacceptable and the Labour Mayor cannot keep expecting non-London residents to foot the bill for his financial mismanagement of TfL.
Last month I welcomed Transport Minister Richard Holden MP to #Oford station, to meet with local campaigners to discuss our opposition.
