This morning I was invited by Gillian Burmester and Jane Sinclair, two of the Westerham parents who campaigned hard for the restoration of the #TW4 school bus from Westerham to Tunbridge Wells, to mark the return of this much loved service. We were joined by other parents and the excellent local councillors Nigel Williams, Nick Chard and Westerham Parish Chairman Helen Ogden.
We have come a long way since July, when it appeared many of the areas around Sevenoaks were to lose their school bus services. And, whilst there are still issues to be ironed out for some villages, it was pleasing to be present at the return of the #TW4 - such a vital service for children in Westerham and along the A25 corridor.
