Access to cash in Swanley is vital for business and the local community. Further to the fantastic news that Swanley has been select as one of 12 national “cash pilot” schemes, I this week chaired a meeting of various local stakeholders, including Swanley Link, Swanley Town Council and local community groups, alongside a representative of the Cash Action Group (CAG) to discuss the needs of local people.
CAG will now start working on coming up with innovative solutions to meet as many of the banking needs of Swanley residents as possible. Whilst I will continue to argue for a banking hub, this engagement and pilot scheme will hopefully lead to a much better banking service and experience for local people, and I look forward to working with the community and CAG in delivering vital improvements.
