We are lucky to have many excellent local businesses in Sevenoaks, and earlier this month I had the pleasure of opening the Sevenoaks Business Show at the Bat & Ball Community Centre.
This wonderful event, hosted by the Sevenoaks Town Team, provided an opportunity for local businesses and charities to showcase their work and it was great to meet so many of the exhibitors including, the Federation of Small Businesses; Specsavers, Sevenoaks Welcomes Refugees, The Samaritans, and In Line International, a multi-faceted company which moved to Sevenoaks from London in 2020. It was also great to speak to the Co-founder Officer, Tom Simmonds, of Gretel, which through its software helps people find some of the £50b in lost funds such as pensions, shares, bank accounts and investments.
My thanks go to the Sevenoaks Town Team for organising this fantastic, annual event. I am hugely supportive of our local business community and always eager to listen to and advocate for them. I will continue to ensure the voice of Sevenoaks businesses are heard in Westminster and if there are any businesses who would like to talk to me, please do get in touch at [email protected].
